Thirteenth station - Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in the arms of his mother

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your holy cross, you have redeemed the world.
Jesus, how brutally you were put to death, but how gently you are taken down from the cross. Your suffering and pain are now at an end and you are placed into the arms of your Mother. The dirt and blood are wiped away and for the first time in a long while, you are treated with love and respect.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.
