More recent history of our Church
Picture
The High Altar originally stood against the East wall (as can be seen on a previous page) and in the 1980s it was moved forward so that the Priest could stand facing the congregation to say Mass.

However, in 2007 it was returned to its original position and a Nave Altar was added. Please click here to see pictures of the Nave Altar being made.

The most recent addition to our Church is a new Icon of our Patron, Saint Aidan. Written by the internationally renowned Iconographer Cristi, it is over a metre tall and stands to the left of the High Altar. The effect of this has been quite incredible as many have said that one cannot fail to be moved by this incredible piece of religious art.
